The '69 heads had enormous 2.23-inch intake valves, while the '70 had slightly less so, but still enormous, 2.19-inch intake valves. The steel crankshaft in the '69 was cross drilled, while in the '70 it wasn't.

For all other pseudo Boss builds just use a 302 block and 4v Cleveland closed chamber heads. Much cheaper.
